Aircel to launch iPhone 4S on Nov 25

The wait's almost over
For those lusting after the iPhone 4S, Aircel has some good news for you. This week on its official Facebook page, the carrier announced it's bringing the iPhone 4S to India - although it stopped short of providing a time frame or pricing. Various tech blogs are pointing toward a November 25th release date, with prices expected to start at Rs.40,000. It may be a little steep, but at least you'll have a new (virtual) friend to talk to after you part with your dough - Siri.
Google Music
Google teased everyone with its take on iTunes a couple months ago, and nowGoogle Music is finally here; well at least for those in the US. Since the inception of Android, users have had to rely on third-party sources for music, however now Android has its own Music section within the Android Market. To begin with, Google will offer a catalog of 13 million songs which are similarly priced to iTunes. Purchased content can be accessed via the cloud on multiple devices, much like Amazon Music, and the service is expected to roll out globally within the coming days.

Social Skype
Skype and Facebook announced a partnership a few months ago, in which they brought video chat to Facebook. NowSkype has deployed an update for its Mac and Windows client that will allow you to tie your account to Facebook. If you chose to do so, you will be able to video chat, read status updates, and instant message - all from within Skype. Microsoft takes another step closer to Facebook, perhaps?
Tid bits
This week, RIM's Vice President of Design mentioned that new BlackBerry devices are on the horizon. The upcoming designs could be a break with the company's corporate heritage, too, and are said to be "charming, whimsical and fun." Meanwhile a senior Nokia executive last week let slip that Nokia plan to release a tablet in June 2012 - and it will run Microsoft Windows 8. Nokia and Microsoft look set to be thick as thieves next year.
